As Public Involvement Specialists, we have a thorough comprehension and working knowledge of SAFTEA-LU, NEPA, CFR, and other federal, state, and local environmental and public involvement required for the planning, environmental, preliminary engineering, and design phases of major transportation and infrastructure projects. Our Public Involvement programs are creative, innovative and and engaging: engage the public, manage expectations, and promote and support project success. We have hosted, led and participated in countless public involvement meetings/hearings and press briefings. We have gathered, documented and responded to extensive public input.
As Public Information Managers, we have managed major highway, bridge, urban and rural, design-build, airport, and transit transportation construction projects totaling well over $1 billion. We understand the technical and logistical challenges of construction and successfully meet the overarching demands of the media and politically charged, as well as the day to day concerns of the public at large.
Our practical experience includes working with numerous federal, state and local governmental agencies including FHWA, FEMA, DRCOG, MPO’s, Federal and State Transportation Directors/Secretaries, AASHTO, Governor’s, mayors, politicos, council members, law enforcement, emergency services. We are well versed in dealing with, home owners, business owners, residents, lane closures, accidents, construction phasing, traffic control plans, ROW issues, design plans, vibration and noise, property damage, legal action, the media, you name it we have dealt with it. We have taken projects from conception to completion, and taken the public with us.
